Tree Museum
All the tree-loving hippies finally have their own museum. And leave it to the swiss to make it something classy! At the shores of the Zurichsee, just south of Zurich this museum is stocked with nearly 2000 species of trees. Each tree is exhibited against a backdrop of smooth stone and green grass. The museum stretches across 2.5 acres, with a special selection of 50 trees planted around the stonework designs. These were the selection of Enzo Anea, a famed Swiss landscape architect who oversaw this project. If you happen to find yourself in Zurich, take a drive out to the Tree Museum to celebrate the beauty of our bark, needle and leaf-formed friends. More info here.
