Zollverein Essen
A lovely day in Germany again. After visiting the Landschaftspark in Duisburg some weeks ago, we now went to Zollverein in Essen. Again, an industrial complex with a new function. These old coal mines now contain museums, restaurants and concert halls. Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas designed the beautiful escalators which take you to the top of the building and he also did a lot of the inside, like the orange staircase below. Really worth visiting when you're in the neighbourhood! More info here.

1978 Naked Summer
1978 was one of those long warm summers. And apparently I spent it in the nude. Pages filled with pictures of me naked. In the garden and at the beach. Making tipi's, chair-swinging and cooling down by wearing winter-gear. Oh man, did I love to dress up as well as dress down! Little has changed since that summer!

Monkey Baby
We always joke about how ugly my sister was at birth and how she turned into that beautiful big-eyed swan she is nowadays. But when you look at these pictures isn't she the cutest, monkey-like playmate you've ever seen? Pictured here with my late grandfather and below with my late grandmother and my (totally 70's) mom. Oh, and me coming back from a playdate at the neighbours, but minor role in these shots.
