What a beautiful way to wake up on a Saturday morning. Even despite the fact that I have to work today.

The Greenery
Our balcony is getting greener and greener. October now, but still fresh and summerish out there. Almost like a greenery. Just after I took these iPhone shots in the late, sunny afternoon we headed over to the greenhouse and bought some more plants. Purple as well as green.
Cheer Up!
Cheer up boys! This is your day. Not your birthday, but your World Animal Day. I know that the seeds we got you look like a shitty gift, but wait a few days and you have delicious new cat grass all for the two of you! Happy World Animal Day!

Rain by Christophe Jacrot
Last week we had our first big autumn storm. Rain pouring down for hours and the wind blowing over our balcony pushing chairs and tables up against the wall.
Tomorrow we're supposed to get our second big storm, so this is a good moment to publish these beautiuful rainy pictures by French photographer Christophe Jacrot. Rain photographed all over Europe.

Bern by Sohei Nishino
Japanese photographer Sohei Nishino documents cities by compiling photos into maps in his series titled Diorama Map.
He walks all across each city he visits, capturing thousands of shots
per location. He then constructs photomontages that reflect how he
remembers the mapping of each place, based on the most notable sights
of the area.
It's an ongoing project, adding more and more cities, but he already captured one of my favourite cities. Swiss capital Bern. And since I know Bern very well I can tell you that Sohei has some damn good memory! This map is close to perfection.
