The Bearfire Resort will offer a year-round ski resort—complete with ski tracks, snowboard park, snowball caverns, ice rafts, climbing walls and bobsleds—in the middle of Texas, next to Bearfire Mountain.
The Bearfire Resort won't use artificial snow but a special synthetic material called Snowflex: Snowflex is a polymer composite consisting of a monofilament fibre and impregnated carrier layer. This sits on top of a unique shock layer, giving a responsive and reactive feel. Manufactured in tile form, Snowflex forms an homogeneous surface that can be made into complex features and shapes.
Woke up with the sound of hard rain in the gutter. Been raining ever since and the city which is normally crowded as hell on a saturday is empty. It's definately April!
Unfortunately it's not me who is in Val Thorens at the moment. I already had my fun in January. My neighbours left last night for a week of skiing and I am taking care of their two cats Lola and Oscar.
Best known to me as David Fisher in Six Feet Under. Complex character, hard to relate to, but interesting television. At the moment starring in Dexter, which isn't yet being broadcasted here in the Netherlands.
