What a beautiful day in Utrecht & Hilversum today! Our main goal was the Railway Museum. A cool museum and completely different from the memories I had of my visit 20 years ago. Well, the location was different to start with, so I could have known.
Then deeper into Utrecht, to another museum called Van Speelklok tot Pierement (From Musical Clock to Street Organ). Also a museum I had not visited in like 25 years and also completely different from my memories. We had a nice little tour and saw a lot of clocks and street organs. Couldn't help thinking why the hell we chose a museum about street organs on the only day in the week that motherfucker isn't playing in our street!
It was still pretty early (thanks to that extra hour we got last night) so we decided to head to Hilversum, for another museum. Beeld & Geluid (The Institute for Image & Sound) is pretty new and not so much a museum, but more an experience. Lots of old tv-shows, items seen on tv ( like the fabulous coat worn by one of my icons Bea Hofman) and very cool activities for young and old. Too bad there were many children who claimed they could occupy every cool spot in the museum, but after hooking some of them down to the ground, the playground was ours! We recorded our own news-bulletins, Peter made an entrance like a real star and we did some acrobatic moves.
Oh, and the building itself must have been one of the most beautiful and most amazing buildings I have seen in a long time! Not just the design of the building, but the complete atmosphere was amazing. A place that really makes a person feel great!

Wow... What a cool Sunday! I'm beginning to feel the rising of a pang of envy... Tell you what! Could you adopt me?
Those great looking pictures seem to show a very well spent sunday!
We've just been cleaning the house for most of the day...
Cool! We'll adopt you! But don't start complaining if the rest of the week turns out to be boring, deal?
Oops... Forgot about those other 6 days... Lemme think. Well, well... And to be honest, I'd seriously drain your budget with the food and vet fees. Let's drop the idea, then. But that was sweet of you to accept, though. I feel honored and touched. ;-))
Bonne nuit!
What a good way to spend a Sunday. I may be jealous : ) Love the canal foto.
