I am a big romantic in reverse... And I've just learnt our President has resumed having hunting parties organized in the park of the Chateau de Chambord. How modern and delicate!
You're right about monitoring the game population. It's actually what they have to do at Chambord too, since the estate is entirely walled in and the wild boars overmultiply. And I have a friend I highly respect who hunts, and it makes me wonder. But I'm not entirely a fan of our Leader Minimo, that's why I was recriminating...

Our royals are still hunting our forests. I don't mind them doing that at all. It's their forest and they keep the amount of deer on track:)
