Eliana Burki - Alphorn+

Eliana Burki is shaking up the swiss alphorn scene. Her daily practice allowed her to go beyond the 12-note range of most players and use the alphorn in a blues-funk-jazz style that is at odds with the more purist form. The result landed her a record deal and a chance to work with David Bowie producer David Richards. (source: HowdyHeidi)

She reminds me a bit of dutch saxophone player Candy Dulfer.

well...that's different! Good on her for being different and bringing this Alphorn jazz fusion to light.
I wonder if she has and extremely long carrying case for that...

Hahahaha, I was thinking the same thing when I saw her perform on that beach! How in hell's name does she travel with that big horn of hers?

I am so blessed with my modestly sized alphorn!
