6 Days in Spain

Back from my trip to Spain. And what an exciting trip that was! I visited four of the most beautiful cities in Andalusië and they were all different and all attracting.

First night in Malaga, then a beautiful drive to the east, heading for the Sierra Nevada. Visited dome isolated villages there before heading to Granada.

In Granada I visited the Alhambra. A stunning piece of architecture! I had no ticket so I had to stand in line at 7 am. Damn, mornings in Granada are cold! But I was lucky to get a ticket and the visit was definately worth the wait and the cold. Seeing the sun come up over that masterpiece was very special and my bones which de-fried through that sun were very thankfull!

Next stop was Córdoba. A city more to the north. Temperatures just under 30c and a nice laidback atmosphere made this city a great place to stay. In the morning I visited the Mezquita, a big mosque, which was later integrated with a catholic cathedral. Another masterpiece of architecture. I've never seen such place in my life. The large hall looks like a forest of palms and even the architect of the catholic part had respect for the beauty of the arabian parts. Stunning!

My final stop was Sevilla. From all 4 cities the most attracting. Not because of the monuments (the Alcazar was beautiful, don't get me wrong), but the atmosphere in this city was global and still relaxed. Six days is way too few to experience these cities, but it gives you a good impression and makes you want to go back!

On the road to the Alhambra there was this beautiful wall filled with stunning graffitti. I love street-art, so I took a lot of pictures! Respect for all the artists being so talented and creative on these walls!
