A Very Dutch Afternoon

Today we went to Elburg. One of those very Dutch villages that used to be on the coast, but are now located in the land since we stole so much of land from the former seas.

Villages like Elburg make us realize how beautiful our country is. It's not a museum, people live there, but time seems to have stopped 60 years ago. Not in a nostalgic way but in a very realistic way.

On the way back we stopped for Kroketten and Frikandellen in one of those wooden buildings down the roads through the woods. A very Dutch afternoon indeed.

Hey Daan,

nice report! I've been in Elburg 3 weeks ago with my parents, I loved it! A very small and cosy village. :)
