No I Can't do this all on my Own

Well, our first workweek after the vacation has started. And to make it worse Peter had to leave yesterday evening for a few busy days and doesn't sleep at home. I can be a loner, don't mind spending time alone. But after three intense weeks together it's always a bit hard. I get restless.

Luckily I bought myself the first two seasons of Scrubs last weekend. They were finally released here in the Netherlands and it's good to spend my evenings watching multiple episodes of one of my favourite sitcoms before going to sleep.

Scrubs is not a substitute for Peter (that must be having cats around me) but it sure calmes my nerves.

Cup of Tea?

What's more beautiful than coloured wineglasses from cheap stores? Well, everything, I hear you think. But that's not the point right now...
In Venice we visited the artist Alessandro Merlin. He had a shop in a very narrow lane and sold all kinds of ceramics. Our eyes were immediately drawn to these Jean Cocteau-like cups. It was definately an inspiration to him, together with the work of Tom of Finland.

His workplace behind the shop had one wall full of other sources for inspiration. Mainly naked men. It reminded us of our bedroom wall when we first moved in together in our tiny little room. We had a wall quite like that. It was a few years before we got an internet connection and now I think of it, you could consider it the first, non-digital version of the Zephyr-Files!

Meet the Boys

Well, finally our family doubled from 2 to 4. Last week on our way back from vacation we picked up these two little monsters. So may I introduce you to Komet and Kiamo! Yes, we decided to keep the original names. We got so used to it, that it would be weird to name them differently.

The trip back to Arnhem went very well. They just slept for 3.5 hours and at the arrival Komet was very shy, but Kiamo immediately started to explore his new home. Now, after a few days they got used to us and the house. They're playfull, happy and very lovable!
