I think this is Carcassonne's castle (in southern France).
Never do I know something right away, but my French history professor spent so much time talking about Carcassone, France.
Carcassonne it is and from the air it really looks very much like the board-game!Great work guys:)
I don't know the board game but I have visited Carcassonne - possibly the first "where the hell is" that I've been. It's a lovely city and region to visit. And, I can recommend La Maison Coste as a place to stay.
This year we fell in love with Avignon, maybe next summer we'll "do" Carcassonne! Thanks for that recommendation!
