2 Minutes

Okay, here in The Netherlands we remember all the victims of WW2 on May 4th at 8pm by being completely silent for 2 minutes. It's always a beautiful moment, no sounds in the streets and watching the queen at the Dam in Amsterdam on tv in a completely silent crowd.

This year some idiot decided not to be silent after one minute and shouted in an unknown language. We always seem like a down to earth country, but beneath the surface we are a little traumatized by some incidents in the last couple of years. Two outspoken persons got murdered and last year some idiot decided to drive his ugly cheap car towards the royal family, missed them and hit a momorial needle.

So you can imagine what happened when a person shouts in a completely silent crowd. Total panic, people running away, children falling, breaking bones. And Peter & Daan getting a little heart attack watching all this.... not again!

Still not clear what exactly happened and why, but two people got arrested. Assholes.

I'm very sorry to read this, coming from a country where strange shouting is automatically related to bad connotations.
Anyway - Happy independence day to you all. Kisses to Beatrix :-)

what a stupid terrible thing to do. Its a shame that people do this, I hope they throw the book at whoever was responsible...
