64

My dad turned 64 yesterday and to celebrate that we visited the zoo here in Arnhem with my sister, her bf, his kids, my parents and ofcourse Peter and myself. A grey and rainy morning which didn't matter because our zoo has all these big halls with different climates. A rainforest, a desert and an ocean.

In the evening we all went out to dinner and exchanged gifts. My dad got books and cd's and Peter got an e-reader (belated present for his birthday back in June). The look on his face was priceless! This gift suits him so well! No more cradles filled with books in the back of the car when we go on vacation. Just this very stylish device filled with hundreds of books!

Arggg! I hate E-Readers, they are going to make the conventional book obsolete. I refuse take any part in it.

I totally understand your point of view Mind of Mine, but when you go back to basic on a camping trip an e-reader is really a storage saver*.

Our bookshelves will always be filled and refilled with beautiful paper books though!

* This really makes no sense... going back to basic and taking an e-reader??? True, but as a storage saver it's a perfect device!
