Welcome to my youth. First there was this video Deep in Vogue by Malcolm McLaren. Then there was the movie Paris is Burning and in 1990 Madonna took vogueing mainstream. And we all thank her for that now don't we?
Damn, did I love Paris is Burning! An underground gay subculture I really wanted to belong to. Nowadays I realize that I was so lucky to be born in my safe little dutch world. But back then, the house of Xtravaganza really was home in my dreams. I wonder how many members are still alive, 20 years later.

I had never heard of Deep in Vogue before. What an awesome video. Made me want to vogue (a picture you don't want in your mind)!
