Can you tell me where I am?

I couldn't agree more with your father. I read your clue and went straight over Le Havre and... Bingo!
I was very surprised when I heard it had been admitted to the World Heritage List a while back... But a colleague of mine who has lived there says the flats are quite roomy, light and well designed in the buildings by Auguste Perret. Phew! Wouldn't have thought of that one without your father!

Thanks Dad:)
I talked to him on the phone last night and coincidentally he was in Le Havre last week. I've only been there as a 6 year old and don't remember much of it. The only vivid memory of Le Havre I have is a guided tour on a Marine Ship and me falling in love with one of the sailors (a hairdresser, for god's sake!).

But I am glad that clue was helpfull to you!

Oooh, that was sneaky.

I scanned all along the atlantic coast of europe (and down the Rhine as well) but not at a high enough resolution to spot the Bassin de Commerce. I wasn't expecting anything as enclosed as it is but rather something open to a larger body of water.
