I tried car tracks first, Tyeti, but it was the buildings at the top right that made me think of stables for horses. Atill haven't figured it out though.
And, Daan, I have been wandering google earth looking for #56, too...so far without success.
Yep! Same thing here, Scotrock. That #46 sent me all over the place as well... Looks like a not so glamourous town, reconstructed after the war, maybe... All those dull similar looking bldgs... I checked zillions of architecture photos for truncated coned shaped things, to no avail yet. But I don't give up. (Boy, do I love this game!)
Indeed, tyeti, this is a game that I find iresistible.
#56 has me confused too. The square street grid doesn't look so European to me but it doesn't looked North American either. The boat and the lock to the other waterway had me thinking of cities with canals. And I too googled white funnel shaped objects (which look like they may be on top of a parking garage). But so far, I have not figured it out!

I think it's a track for horse racing...somewhere.
I've checked a few but so far with google/googlemaps but haven't found a match
Stupid me... I did the same thing, google-earting all over the place for CAR speedtracks... Stupido!
Oh and while you two superplayers are at it; solve #56 as well?

Hollywood Park is very correct! Congrats man! Didn't expect this one so hard. Great to see how the two of you work!
And a clue for #56: The most ugly city on the World Heritage List, according to my father.
