Acceptable in the 80's

Wow, this site filled with horror movie posters brought back a lot of memories! I recognize so much of them from our old video store! Looking at them even brings back the smell of that place! And the thought that I watched these covers over and over, read the backs, makes me think I actually saw these movies. But I also remember my mom considered horror as the worst form of pornography and I wasn't allowed to watch most of them.

In the 80's I was obsessed with horror. I decided to become a movie director and create horror movies that took place during the day so you could actually SEE all the gore and guts and blood. I had the poster for Fright Night on my door for a while, before having it inside my room because my sister was afraid to go to the toilet at night. Replaced it with a poster of Michael Jackson's Thriller, but that one had to removed as well.

In the end I didn't become a film director. And I lost my interest in horror movies (I just changed to REAL pornography MOM!). The only really good horror movie as an adult, which I really enjoyed was the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead.... a horror movie that takes place.... exactly. During daytime!

lol I remember as a kid seeing Orca on TV and it scared the crap outta me! I was terrified when we went to a Seaworld shortly afterwards...
