Yesterday I died and went to Gardener's Heaven. Me and my longlasting friend Mariska go back 20 years and although we live on different sides of our small country, we still see each other several times a year. Yesterday we went to the Gardens of Appeltern. A showcase displaying hundreds of gardens. From classic to modern, from damn clever to silly as hell. I'm no gardener, but a balconist. Mariska on the other hand, is a real gardener who remembers every plant's name in latin, so I watched the gardens in total and she focused on the individual plants. That made us a really good team!
Ofcourse I went without my camera, but luckily Mariska brought hers and since she feels insecure taking pictures with me around, the camera was on my neck and I took these pictures of loads and loads of green and the occasional purple and yellow.
A lovely day and I got a reminder why I like doing these things with women so much; they have bags and I always travel without a bag but with filled pockets. So whenever a woman with a bag is around, the first thing I do is emptying my pockets into her bag and travel light. Most of the times though, the bag becomes too heavy for the woman and I end up carrying a woman's bag AND a camera.
