Dutch designer and architect Piet Hein Eek took the term Log Cabin very literally when he created this hide-out for Dutch musician Hans Liberg.
The tree-trunk exterior encases a steel frame salvaged from a builders' yard. The facade is made up of small cross-sections of tree trunk, arranged and positioned by hand then fixed with glue and copper brackets. This puzzling effect extends over the window-covers to complete the log-pile illusion when the cabin is unoccupied (much more photos here).

Brilliant! I totally want this at the lake!
Yeah, would be great! Lake, woods, cabin, students, murder, blood.... or without the murder and the blood!
In Dexter-mood Daan?
Yes! Always!
