Züri West - Fingt ds Glück eim?

As you all may or may not know I am a huge fan of swiss language and music. So here's a video by Züri West, just to educate you.

Cool song. I looked up Züri West and it says they write songs primarily in Bernese, a dialect of German.

but is there even a swiss language?

Very true Joe. There is not such a thing as swiss language. The original Rhätoromanisch is considered the REAL swiss language, but even in this language there are many differences between the different valleys where it is spoken.

Most of the music I listen to is in schwyzerdütsch, french and italian. And also in schwyzerdütsch you hear the differences between bands from Berne and Zürich. It's a rich country with a rich language. That makes it interesting to me.

Hehe, when I read the title I thought, wtf that sounds like Swiss German :D
And so it was. Great song, but do you know "Heimweh" by Plüsch? That one's great (if you know what they're singing).

Thanks ND.
I think I have to get used to their music. It's a bit too poppy for my taste (stupid words from a guy who worships Madonna).

I guess what I want to say is that there is not the swiss feeling in their music...
